First off let me just say, females do NOT sing like this anymore, lyrics DEFINETELY don't mean as much anymore. Bands don't play like this anymore, and music doesn't move me in this way anymore. This little doozie is from a lovely lady named Alicia Myers and the name of the song is "I Want To Thank You". It was released in 1981 off of her LP "I Fooled You This Time", and I must say, I never thought singing a whole song about keeping yourself until God sent you the right person would sound so fucking ILL! Thats basically what the song is about, and her runs are EFFORTLESS! But on the production note...WHERE DO I START?! First off when the song starts off you get the bass, kick drum with the light guitar riffs and a little piano that transcends into deep grand piano chords, the guitar riffs stop the kick stays with a "1, 2, 1, 2" rhythm on the drums with the funky ass mellow bass undertone. This is music at its finest, this dude made me an instrumental sampled off this song some time ago, maybe i'll post my ill spittage sometime soon huh?

Dedicated to the goldies of the 70s and the 80s. They have another channel right above it called The Strobe but most of the music is SERIOUS disco joints. I enjoy MOST of it but the rest of it is complete "Studio 54 coke nail, and LSD" music...which is great but I CANNOT go to sleep without having the TV on listening to the groove. So I'm starting something new on the blog which I said I was going to do from the get-go. I call it "Illies & Goldies" anything I hear thats Ill(89-98' era) or anything Golden(70-88' era)I'll post it to my enjoyment and hopefully to yours. I'm not taking request I'm just posting the joints that I thought was the most Golden, Illest peices of work an artist could make.

These blew my mind when I saw them because when you look inside of them they REALLY look like preserved alien tentacle!(Noche's observation). You know what they actually remind me of actually? If anyone remembers the third version of the musical masterpiece that was "Flashing Lights" by KanYe West, these chairs would have been the icing on the cake for that video. okay, so I've been sitting on this post for about 11 DAYS NOW..miss me? I know you do.
So I was getting ready to go to sleep after my last post about the burberry early mother's day morning(happy belated btw), and I GOT THIS THINNGGG where I HAVE TO, and I mean HAVE TO go to sleep watching this internet stream channel called Looney Tunes 24/7. It has ALLLLL the oldie-but-goodies from Looney Tunes(even the racist sambo jazz band cartoons). ANYWHOM! So I was half-sleep and I for some reason I opened my eyes and looked at the laptop screen, and to my delight, I saw the most divine animation I've ever seen! The art was so amazing, in a way it reminded me of fashion sketches before they're actually made into clothing(like the slim lady at the end of the cartoon for instance.) So for the past couple days i've been doing my research on about this fascinating style of art. It's called "Art Deco" which was an art movement involving a mix of modern decorative art styles, largely of the 1920s and 1930s, whose main characteristics were derived from various avant-garde painting styles of the early twentieth century. Art deco works exhibit aspects of Cubism, Russian Constructivism and Italian Futurism, it surrounds distortion, simplification, and abstraction specifically an intense hue of color and geometric shaping.

Sooo, without further adieu, heres the interesting cartoon(in my opinion) from 1936. It's called "Page Miss Glory" the moderne art(deco) was concieved by Leadora Congdon. It looks like a drawing fresh out of a page of a vintage "The New Yorker". Enjoy!!

..I know right? Just because I'm a dude, HETERO AT THAT, doesn't mean I can't appreciate a mean shoe game. These, my dear lady, are the detachable stud strap platform booties by Barbara Bui. I absolutely love booties on a female, and I honestly think booties are the "Sneaker Killer" for females. I mean wearing sneakers are OKAY when it comes to certain things (Such as the gym, running, power walking, or days where your feet hurt BAD AS HELL). But seriously, SNEAKERS aren't stylish unless your a committed hipster. I'm a cross inbetween that and genuine high fashion so I don't know about the sneaker thing on females. Maybe because I see my sister Shari in hot fashion shit all the time so I KNOW she would love these! Let's take a look at the inside and the outside material of the shoe shall we ladies?
If the toe was cut vertically all the way maybe I would enjoy the sight of it more but the horizontal stitch really isn't a flaw. The whole outside is a soft suede which would look great on a raw blue denim jean. The stud strap is detachable, as I said before, so If you wanna rock out with an extra flair or keep it simple and classy you can. The inside is a metallic purple but don't really focus on that because only your little piggies will know. The seam is at the vamp and the zipper is at the back so your whole shoe could be admired. With a 1/4" stacked platform and a 4" sculpted metal heel, you should be good. Overall the bootie is sexy and any upkept female wearing these would be a sight to behold through these windows. . .
