I Knew Ghosts Lived In Chairs!

First off, I would like to apologize for the long and drawn out hiatus from my contribution to project niche. Where have I been? I don't know. What have I been doing? Making music, being lazy, playing xbox and other I don't knows..

Okay! On with the topic. So I was cyrfing(cyber-surfing) and I stopped by the wordpress of a friend of mine(shout out to Noche!) which in time, I know will become one of my favorite places to stop by to read, learn, and take fashion advice from.. It's called Intravenous Drip and will soon be one of my favorite places to check out!

Be that as it may, "The GHOST" collection doesn't consist of JUST chairs. They have stools also! These blew my mind when I saw them because when you look inside of them they REALLY look like preserved alien tentacle!(Noche's observation). You know what they actually remind me of actually? If anyone remembers the third version of the musical masterpiece that was "Flashing Lights" by KanYe West, these chairs would have been the icing on the cake for that video. The video is basically a "whodunnit" setting, which reminds me of the game "Clue". Besides KanYe being a genius for even THINKING of the lyrics for this song, but also for the grim perception on early 1920s-30s fashion, the oliver twist kind of darkness in the murky shots & the cup runneth over clip going on to the shot of the maid is individually beautiful RESPECT ART!)

..I know right? Just because I'm a dude, HETERO AT THAT, doesn't mean I can't appreciate a mean shoe game. These, my dear lady, are the detachable stud strap platform booties by Barbara Bui. I absolutely love booties on a female, and I honestly think booties are the "Sneaker Killer" for females. I mean wearing sneakers are OKAY when it comes to certain things (Such as the gym, running, power walking, or days where your feet hurt BAD AS HELL). But seriously, SNEAKERS aren't stylish unless your a committed hipster. I'm a cross inbetween that and genuine high fashion so I don't know about the sneaker thing on females. Maybe because I see my sister Shari in hot fashion shit all the time so I KNOW she would love these! Let's take a look at the inside and the outside material of the shoe shall we ladies?

If the toe was cut vertically all the way maybe I would enjoy the sight of it more but the horizontal stitch really isn't a flaw. The whole outside is a soft suede which would look great on a raw blue denim jean. The stud strap is detachable, as I said before, so If you wanna rock out with an extra flair or keep it simple and classy you can. The inside is a metallic purple but don't really focus on that because only your little piggies will know. The seam is at the vamp and the zipper is at the back so your whole shoe could be admired. With a 1/4" stacked platform and a 4" sculpted metal heel, you should be good. Overall the bootie is sexy and any upkept female wearing these would be a sight to behold through these windows. . .

I was cyrfing(cyber-surfing) and I went to one of my good trusted sites. (shout out to thelifefiles!) and come to find out, Henri Bendel is getting "economically washed up" by this recession and they have chosen to stop selling luxury clothing(which is basically their clothing section). according to the New York Times,

"A venerable name in New York retailing, Henri Bendel, is planning to stop selling clothes this summer and focus on accessories and beauty products as it struggles to lure shoppers during a prolonged recession. Bendel’s flagship store at 712 Fifth Avenue will also give up one of its three floors, according to the company’s plans.

Several employees briefed on the plans said on Thursday that they were told that Bendel had decided to eliminate the fashion departments because there was no sign of a turnaround in the sale of high-ticket items, but that beauty and gift products were selling well and typically with much higher margins.

Luxury stores like Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Barneys New York have all eliminated hundreds of jobs and scaled back their orders from designers in reaction to the economy. Sales of $1,000 dresses and cashmere sweaters began to plummet last October."
